According to the Daily Mail, Interpol official Alain Remue, the chief commanding officer of the Belgium Federal Police's missing persons unit, said that, from 107 witness reports related to Madeleine's disappearance, 67 were too vague to be properly investigated. The remaining 36 were investigated and passed to Interpol's Lisbon bureau but there was no response from Portugal.
Today, a spokesperson from the Press Office (00322 – 6426521) of the Belgian Federal Police told us that “every information about Madeleine's case has been checked and is still being checked, with no results until now.” What kind of response would somebody expect, when a Police force is informed by Police officers from another country that investigations about a case had no results? Thank you? Did Mr. Alain Remue (who is on leave, today...) really said that PJ gave “no response” to the information that investigations by the Belgian Federal Police, about possible Madeleine' sightings produced "no results"?
